Under the EKUAL Project conducted by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, the Read and Publish agreement with the Royal Society of Chemistry has become active for the period of 2026-2028. Through this agreement, access is provided to the publisher’s electronic journals (Read), and APC support is offered for a limited number of articles (subject to quota) through the open access publishing model (Publish). Detailed information about the platform and agreement is as follows:
Publication (Publish)
Under the agreement with the publisher, academics at Üsküdar University can publish their articles as open access without paying APCs.
- Corresponding author must be affiliated with Üsküdar University, and the institutional email address (@uskudar.edu.tr) must be used during the submission process.
- The corresponding author must be an active member of the academic staff.
- Applications for open access APC support can be made for articles accepted in Hybrid and Gold journals. Click here for the list of funded journals.

Access (Read)
The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is an international scientific organization and academic publisher based in the United Kingdom that supports the advancement of the chemical sciences. RSC Publishing is a major academic publishing platform providing access to over 100 peer-reviewed scientific journals covering fields such as biology, biophysics, energy, environmental sciences, engineering, materials science, medicine, and physics, with a particular focus on analytical, organic, and inorganic chemistry.
